Picking the perfect wedding invitations
When I got engaged one of the first things I decided on were the wedding invitations. For me, this was one of the most important aspects of our wedding and I wanted them to be perfect. After all, it was going to be the first wedding related item that our guests saw and I really wanted the invites to reflect the overall tone of our wedding.
We decided on a very casual ceremony at our favorite beach, so I definitely steered away from an invitation style that was formal or stuffy. I wanted to use beach wedding invitations, ones that were breezy and light, to reflect on what our actual wedding day would be like. We looked at a bunch of beach themed invitations, but none of them really struck my fancy. Then my fiancé showed me some invites that may not have had sun and sand in them, but were still very whimsical and airy.
We eventually decided on butterfly wedding invitations. They were bright and fun and I’ve always loved butterflies. They were gorgeous and really represented us and what our wedding was all about.
We even decided to continue with the butterfly theme having a butterfly cake topper and butterfly book marks as our guest gifts.
