What Teachers Talk About
Have you ever wondered what teachers talk about when they get together alone outside of the classroom and away from their students?
Here are some of the things that teachers might talk about together:
- Tips on how to make teaching easier. For example, someone might share their use of a school supply list for purchasing classroom supplies with other teachers who can benefit from such a tip.
- How they feel about their students. Teachers want to make a difference in the lives of their students so they will discuss how to do that with the students who are most on their minds.
- Problems they are having with the administration. Teachers often go through a lot of red tape which they vent about with other teachers.
- Their other interests. Believe it or not, teachers are interested in things besides just teaching so they may talk about interests ranging from dance to film.
Teachers are just like any other people. They talk about the details of their jobs including their concerns and their moments of success. They talk about the things that they have in common which include experiences in the classroom. And they talk about the random other things that interest them in life.
