Amicably calling it quits

My friend lives in Scottsdale Arizona.  He is currently going through a divorce.  Fortunately, he and his soon to be ex-wife have an amicable relationship and both are looking for a divorce without lawyers in Scottsdale.  They have two different options for this kind of experience.  One is mediation in Scottsdale and the other is a collaborative divorce in Scottsdale

Both of these ways of divorcing offer very similar things to the couple.  It is deemed a fairer way to divvy up goods from the marriage.  Because you are meeting on neutral territory, people seem to be more open to suggestions and agreements.  Mediators are a neutral third party that has training in the law as well as psychology to facilitate the distribution of goods.  A collaborative divorce is similar in the fact that it is a neutral third party that is facilitating the process, but in this instance the person involved is a lawyer.

Each kind of divorce features an out of court settlement.  Without going through the courts is an advantage, both monetarily as well as emotionally.  The process for both is often the hardest parts of a divorce.  Being able to save money as well as some emotions will help my friends out as they are going through this tough time.
